The Director of Clinical Professional Development provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for clinical staff professional development and education across the enterprise. The Director leads a team of Clinical Education Practitioners and Clinical Education Specialists responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of education initiatives fostering pediatric clinical excellence, supporting lifelong learning, and advancing professional nursing practice. The leader collaborates with department-based and senior leadership to ensure the clinical education needs are met for clinicians at every level of experience and expertise. The Director coaches and mentors others to collaborate with leaders and end-users to develop, implement, and maximize education strategies to support positive patient experience, clinical outcomes, and clinical competency.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $47.55/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
