The Principal Wealth Advisor serves as a key relationship manager, ensuring high client retention by meeting all service needs and developing personalized wealth planning strategies. This role involves onboarding new clients through various programs and serving as a secondary advisor when needed. The Principal Wealth Advisor leads client meetings, collaborates across departments to meet client needs, mentors colleagues, and ensures a superior client experience. Your focus will be on growing assets under management while ensuring exceptional client outcomes and satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a key relationship manager for clients, meeting all service needs and achieving high levels of retention.
Develop and communicate customized wealth planning strategies based on clients’ financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences.
Serve as a secondary advisor for selected clients as needed.
Onboard new client relationships through organic pipelines, Custodian Referral Programs, and Workplace Solution Programs.
Lead and/or actively participate in prospect presentations and guide new clients through the onboarding process.
Lead client meetings through all phases of our wealth planning process.
Coordinate with internal departments (tax, legal, investment teams etc.) to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s financial plan.
Identify cross-department solutions for client needs and able to speak generally of other service offerings.
Proactively interact with clients and lead team to create a spectacular client experience.
Involvement in company committees and/or firm-wide initiatives.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary or as directed.
Required Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree
Series 65
Completion of CFP® or CFA designation– CPA, JD, CHFC, or another approved advanced designation/degree
7-10+ years of industry experience
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in all Wealth Planner functions, plus:
Proven leader, decision-maker, and subject matter expert.
Independently sources new client revenue and expands upon existing client relationships.
Independently develops and communicates wealth planning strategies and manages client relationships.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills with both external clients and internal collaboration.
Working knowledge of e-Money, Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook a strong plus.
Ability to listen and empathize with clients, spot, and analyze issues, and simplify/explain financial concepts to provide solutions.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required.
Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
