Strategic Sourcing Specialist I

This is a fully remote position and can be located anywhere in the US.

Position Purpose: Collaborate with Procurement POD in support of Category Initiatives in various ways.  Lead small supplier negotiations and contracting with suppliers on behalf on internal customers; assist in large supplier negotiations.  Develop and execute on Sourcing Events (Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP)) to drive strategy.

• Establish individual project scope, business needs, and strategies for Sourcing Events, utilizing market research techniques and resources.

• Support Category Initiatives by engaging with internal business owners and suppliers.

• Lead supplier negotiations on small impact contracts, to support strategy, while ensuring contract language is favorable and protects Centene's interest.

• Support Procurement goals and objectives through the standard strategic sourcing and contracting processes.

• Manage all tasks and responsibilities, ensuring they are completed effectively and on time.

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; 1+ years of experience in project management or negotiations

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year
