Who You Are:
Responsible for bringing the brand to life through producing still and moving image content in close collaboration with the internal art, editorial and fashion office departments. This position plays a critical role in keeping the creative team up to date with a broad range of new and established talent.
This role will manage facets of production for Michael Kors photo and video content and will oversee budgets and contracts on a day-to-day basis - managing their P&L in close collaboration with Finance – as well as with Procurement and Legal for all contracts and agreements.
As part of this role, the Senior Producer will be charged with balancing creative vision with the realities of our budgets. The ideal candidate should possess excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work well in teams.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with Creative, Marketing, and Production teams to set strategic photography goals for each season to deliver on business needs
Must be a proactive self-starter who excels at facilitating and navigating shoot preparation/production and processes in a fashion house environment
Create and maintain seasonal photo production schedules and calendars for the creative department
Collaborate on BIG IDEAS/editorial stories to bring the brand to life
Manage dozens of vendor relationships including contract negotiations
Help to coordinate photography and image re-touching budget, including invoicing, forecasting, and month-end close process
Research of photographers, directors, models, hair & make-up artists, and stylists
Establish and grow the brand’s relationships with new photographers and directors by arranging portfolio reviews between artists and creative teams
Source talent, manage bookings, negotiate usage and costs across photographers, directors, hair and make-up artists, and studios within tight budget constraints and constantly changing overall production and shoot schedules
Work closely with Fashion Office to book stylist, hair, and makeup. Coordinate style-outs and fittings for photo shoots
Assist with ad hoc special projects as needed
Collaborate daily with Senior Director of Shoot Production and entire Creative Department
Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards
Budget consciousness
You’ll Need to Have:
Minimum 5 years of experience in photo shoot production and art buying and/or project management (fashion retail experience preferred)
Bachelor's degree
Must have relationships with photographers, directors and agents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
Proven ability to manage relationships and drive process
Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong project management skills
Strong negotiation skills
Motivation, decisiveness, organizational skills are a must
Willing to travel and work some nights and weekends
MUST be proficient in Excel
