What You’ll Teach

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.
Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.
Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices.
Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations.
Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction.
Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience.
Stay current on industry and pedagogical trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching, including the effective use of AI tools embedded in our curriculum.
Requirements
Master’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Linguistics, or related field.
At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing.
Digital fluency and ability to effectively incorporate AI-powered educational tools into instruction.
Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education.
Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.
Compensation
$8,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter
$5,000 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter
