Camber builds software to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare. We streamline and replace manual work so clinicians can focus on what they do best: providing great care. For more details on our thesis, check out our write-up: What is Camber?
We’ve raised $50M in funding from phenomenal supporters at a16z, Craft Ventures, YCombinator, Manresa, and many others who are committed to improving the accessibility of care. For more information, take a look at: Announcing Camber
Our mission to change behavioral health starts with us and how we operate. We don’t want to just change behavioral health, we want to change the way startups operate. Here are a few tactical examples:
1) Improving accessibility and quality of healthcare is something we live and breathe. Everyone on Camber’s team cares deeply about helping clinicians and patients.
2) We have to have a sense of humor. Healthcare is so broken, it's depressing if you don't laugh with us.
Camber wrestles the chaos of medical insurance billing for clinics and providers.
We’re looking for our first product designer. You will lead design on our internal tools (aka Barbie.)
Billions of dollars in healthcare will be managed on products you design: from insurance billing, eligibility, bank reconciliation, project management, programmable rules engines, data analytics, and more!
Your work will lower the barrier to entrepreneurship for healthcare providers in the United States, improve quality of care, and get clinics back to what they know and love most: helping patients.
Rapidly prototyping user experiences directly with users across the company: engineering, operations, customer experience, and go-to-market.
Establishing a consistent internal application design and component system.
Building clear information hierarchies and opinionated workflows that power confident and correct decisions, at scale.
Balancing long-term vision with iterative development to get there.
Distilling the manic complexity of American healthcare into intuitive, informative, efficient, and brave interfaces.
Differentiating between micro- and macro-friction points, drive solutions at the right level of abstraction (fix vs feature vs product.)
A strong portfolio including process documentation, end-to-end project ownership, and taming deceptive complexity into delightful usability.
A sense of taste, a healthy ambition, and a bit of whimsy ✨
The passion and craft to design for a better world. The grit and meticulousness to build in the real one.
Clear success outcomes for what you design and a high personal bar for meeting those goals. Success is defined by user impact, not effort.
A mission-driven, collaborative, optimistic, and emojiful culture.
Bright, driven, kind, and caring teammates who do the right thing even when it's harder.
The freedom to add character, elegance, and flourish to what we build.
We hear there’s more to life than flat expanses of neutral colors.
Building for the latest version of Chrome… and nothing else!
Competitive compensation, equity, benefits, and stickers.
Cultural events: Wine and Weave (we have a lot of knitters and crafters), Hot Ones, and more!
A wide array of free lunch!
A place on our office interior decor committee.
Camber is based in New York City, and we prioritize in-person and hybrid candidates. Please refer to the top of this page for this position's hiring location.
Building an inclusive culture is one of our core tenets as a company. We’re very aware of structural inequalities that exist, and recognize that underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t think they meet all of the requirements. If that’s you and you’re reading this, we’d like to encourage you to apply regardless — we’d love to get to know you and see if there’s a place for you here!
In addition, we take security seriously, and all of our employees contribute to uphold security requirements and maintain compliance with HIPAA security regulations.
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
