Boston Speech Therapy is excited to announce an opening for a Bilingual (Spanish speaking) Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to assist in delivering therapy services to individuals with communication disorders. Your bilingual skills will help bridge communication gaps, making a significant impact on the lives of clients who require services in multiple languages. The role is primarily based in a school setting and offers flexible hours to accommodate your availability.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and evaluations of bilingual patients
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
- Provide therapy sessions in both languages to enhance speech and language skills
- Monitor and document student progress
- Coordinate with families and caregivers to educate them on communication strategies
- Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Fluency in English and another language (Spanish preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Willingness to follow directions and work under supervision
- Desire to expand knowledge and skills in the field of Speech Language Pathology
