The Boeing Commercial Airplanes Quality Organization is currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Associate or Mid-Level Numerical Control Programmers to join our team in Portland Oregon.

This role will require the selected candidate to work a variable shift, however initial training will begin on 1st shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical expertise to support the design and manufacture of parts and assemblies.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Ability and willingness to work a variable shift
  • 1 or more years of experience programming and operating Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM)
  • 1 or more years of experience conducting Inspections using ASME Standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
  • 1 or more years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Quality Process Improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using Spatial Analyzer (SA), or similar metrology software
  • 3 or more years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

  • Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $72,250 - $97,750

  • Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $90,950 - $123,050
