Overview:
As a Middle Markets M&A Analyst at BMO Capital Markets, you will gain valuable exposure to a wide number of industries and will work with a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory. Analysts play a critical role in the transaction team.
Upon joining BMO, analysts will start their careers with us by completing BMO Capital Markets Global Orientation which begins in July 2026. The program is designed to help you make the transition from theory to practice. Training includes core skills, such as: accounting, valuation and modeling, and pitch book development. This training is delivered by leading industry professionals. You will also complete BMO specific training to learn about our strategy, culture and have plenty of opportunities to socialize with your peers and network with senior management and other internal contacts.
Our goal is to hire young professionals with a desire to have a financial services career at BMO, providing them with continued training and professional development throughout their career at the firm.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
