I’m an individual deeply passionate about data science, with a rich professional background as a SAP Technical Lead and a current academic focus on completing a Master's in Data Science. Over a decade, I've cultivated a robust skill set that spans across various industries, including automotive, defense, and IT. My professional journey has been characterized by leading complex projects, managing cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in technology solutions. Presently, I am enhancing my expertise through advanced studies, diving deep into Python programming, statistical data mining, machine learning, and database management systems. A day in the life: Tell us about a typical day as an intern in your field, or if you haven't started, share a bit about your life as a college student. 🌞

As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer Intern at Radical AI, my day typically begins with a team stand-up meeting to set daily goals and discuss progress on ReX, our AI Coach. I spend a significant portion of my day coding and refining ReX's features using OpenAI, LangChain, Vertex AI, and TensorFlow, focusing on improving its personalized coaching abilities through natural language processing techniques. Collaboration is key; I work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure ReX meets user needs and integrates seamlessly with our platform. This involves regular check-ins, code reviews with senior engineers, and incorporating user feedback to enhance functionality. The day also includes dedicated time for personal growth, such as attending webinars or exploring new AI technologies, to stay updated on industry trends. Documenting progress and findings helps keep the team aligned and contributes to our collective knowledge base. Overall, the internship is a blend of technical development, teamwork, and continuous learning, all aimed at enhancing ReX’s impact on users' career journeys.

What excites me the most about my internship is the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence, particularly in developing ReX, an AI Coach designed to offer personalized career guidance. Being able to leverage advanced technologies like OpenAI, LangChain, Vertex AI, and TensorFlow to solve real-world problems and directly impact users' career paths is incredibly rewarding. Additionally, the chance to collaborate with a cross-functional team and contribute to a project that not only enhances platform efficiency but also significantly improves customer satisfaction is truly motivating. This internship allows me to apply my skills in a meaningful way, pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve in the realm of personalized coaching and mentorship.
