Skills
- Advanced writing, editing and formatting under tight deadlines
- Proven experience with government proposals (DoD/IC/NASA/Federal Civilian) and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with Shipley or APMP best practices for capture/proposal management
- Ability to convert technical geospatial/analytic concepts into customer-focused value propositions
- Experience creating visuals or collaborating with designers (Visio, PowerPoint, Canva)
- Strong research, analytical and information synthesis skills
- Excellent verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration
- High attention to detail and strong time/prioritization management
- Proficient with MS Office suite
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead writer/editor for proposals, white papers and solicitations
- Translate complex technical and analytics concepts into clear capability and benefit statements
- Craft persuasive, customer-tailored narratives aligned to mission needs
- Coordinate and consolidate cross-functional inputs from technical, product, program, marketing and executive teams
- Ensure consistent messaging, style and compliance (FAR/DFARS) across submissions
- Develop technical summaries, past performance entries, compliance matrices and executive-ready content
- Maintain disciplined proposal schedules, submission status tracking and compliance reviews
- Identify and implement process improvements, templates and reusable boilerplate to increase win rates
- Support additional documentation needs such as user guides, specs, developer docs and marketing materials as required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, technical communication or related field (required)
- APMP certification (preferred)
