Responsibilities

Key Risk is looking for an experienced financial professional who will provide leadership and management of the financial reporting, planning and analysis for a growing workers compensation monoline insurance company.    This position will assist the management team with, profitability analysis, short- and long-term forecasting, executing on innovation initiatives and other special projects.

 

Key Functions will include but not be limited to:

  • Direct management of corporate GAAP & Statutory and internal management reporting
  • Analyze operating results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Oversee daily operations of the Finance department performing transactional accounting consisting of billing and cash receipts processes and reinsurance accounting
  • Monitors expenses and suggest productivity improvements and/or expense saving initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
  • Work with department managers to develop the annual budget and plan
  • Develop forecasting models to assist Senior Leadership with business decision support
  • Direct financial and SOX audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Perform financial analysis of insureds to assess credit risk when requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance) or equivalent
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 15+ years’ accounting experience, insurance industry
  • 7+ years management experience
  • Microsoft Office (particularly MS-Excel, Power BI, Power Automate)
  • Experience with PeopleSoft general ledger and Hyperion reporting preferred
  • Experience with Freedom Reinsurance System or similar
  • Some SQL experience is desirable
