Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and RESTful public web APIs
- Write clean, maintainable code for the application and website
- Research technologies and engineer end-to-end solutions to problems
- Propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies
- Integrate AI capabilities into products and development workflows using tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, and other models
- Collaborate closely with JavaScript developers and UI designers to integrate backend work
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Document designs, technical decisions, and operational runbooks where appropriate
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional software development experience accepted
- Ongoing learning and interest in AI/ML tools and techniques
