AVID Center is seeking passionate educators to become Staff Developers for the year 2026, facilitating professional learning events for adult learners and promoting college and career readiness among students.
Responsibilities: Facilitate face-to-face and virtual professional learning events, prepare for sessions, build rapport with participants, and provide and receive feedback during training.
Skills: Strong digital skills, effective use of digital learning tools and videoconferencing platforms, and experience in facilitating professional learning for adults.
Qualifications: Experience with AVID systems, certification as an AVID educator is preferred, and availability for training and learning events, both during summer and school year.
Location: Position is based in the United States; remote work may be involved depending on training sessions.
Compensation: $40 - $60 / Hourly

WHAT IS THE JOB?
The AVID Staff Developer facilitates effective face-to-face and virtual professional learning to adult learners using the AVID Professional Learning Practices (APLP). In this role, you will be asked to complete planning and preparation before each assigned AVID training, as well as validate different training approaches, create positive rapport, and be open to giving and receiving feedback during the actual training. Staff Developers serve as the lifeblood of AVID professional learning experiences, and we pride ourselves on having engaged and passionate educators serve in these vital roles.
