Project Accounting Manager
Skills
- Previous project accounting experience
- 3+ years supervisory or team lead experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup and pivot tables
- Experience with account reconciliations and monthly close processes
- Strong reporting, analytical, and KPI development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-team collaboration
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial management for large-scale and complex projects, including profit and loss reporting
- Lead, support, and mentor a team of Project Accountants for billings, collections, cost allocation, and revenue recognition
- Define processes and KPIs for monitoring and analyzing problem projects
- Assist with monthly close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Compile information for internal and external audits as required
- Attend project reviews and meetings to provide financial insight and support project managers
- Develop and maintain ad-hoc and recurring management reports
- Support corporate compliance initiatives and elevate project financial concerns to management
- Monitor project effort to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- Candidates currently pursuing a related degree are encouraged to apply
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
