Staff Software Engineer, Security
Skills
- Proficient in one or more systems languages (C/C++, Rust, Python)
- Experience assessing security of firmware, applications, networks, IoT, or embedded systems
- Experience implementing security features for firmware, applications, network, or embedded systems
- Background building, testing, and delivering production-ready embedded and Linux systems
- Familiarity with anti-tamper techniques and reverse engineering
- Platform security engineering and secure SDLC experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain US TS clearance
Responsibilities
- Own development and maturation of TRS product and service security roadmap
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement security solutions that meet or exceed industry standards
- Perform security architecture reviews and threat modeling for hardware, firmware, and software designs
- Identify, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities in designs, implementations, integrations, and processes
- Design and develop embedded system security software and integrate security features into firmware and Linux systems
- Implement and improve secure SDLC practices and platform security controls
- Support incident response and forensic analysis for cloud and embedded incidents
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred but not required
