Skills
- Proficiency in C++ with 6+ years of experience
- Experience across the robotics stack: sensors, perception integrations, and actuation
- Strong understanding of motor control and real-time systems
- Experience with low-level communications (CAN, UART, SPI)
- Experience developing software tightly coupled to hardware and fielded products
- Ability to produce tested, documented pull requests and own services in production
Responsibilities
- Own feature development and rollout for Sentry Tower software, from design through deployment and maintenance
- Design, evaluate, and implement sensor integrations for human and autonomous agents
- Develop control systems for pan-tilt and focus, and contribute to motor control and actuation software
- Build and maintain tooling such as Software-in-the-Loop simulators and IPC coordinate frame libraries
- Ensure service ownership: reliability, testing, documentation, and alignment with customer objectives
- Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary engineering teams and field operators to prioritize long-term product experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience
- Strong engineering fundamentals from industry experience or advanced degree
