Senior Quality Engineer
Skills
- Expertise in quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100
- Proficiency in statistical process control and quality assurance protocols
- Experience using mechanical and electrical metrology tools and instruments
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical design and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of product development methodologies including FMEA, Change Management, and APQP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management capability to drive initiatives from start to finish
- Understanding of regulatory and quality standards for cooled IR imaging products
Responsibilities
- Drive improvements across product design, manufacturing, suppliers, and field support to enhance reliability throughout the product lifecycle
- Ensure compliance and sustainability of Quality Management Systems to maintain AS9100 certification
- Utilize data-driven methods to evaluate, prioritize, and track product quality and reliability across suppliers, manufacturing, and field operations
- Support and enhance internal tracking systems for supplier, manufacturing, and field quality issues
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions internally and with suppliers
- Develop and sustain raw material supplier and incoming inspection programs
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities
- Evaluate, select, qualify, and monitor supplier performance
- Manage containment, audit, and disposition of defective materials or quality escapes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
