Product Quality Engineer - RR
Skills
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality within aerospace/defense or similar hardware
- Proven RCCA experience using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, Fault Tree Analysis
- Working knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP (MSA), and GD&T
- Familiarity with PCBA, harnessing, avionics, composites, propulsion, and systems integration
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes
- Data analysis and statistical tools experience (MATLAB, JMP, Minitab)
- Ability to define and monitor quality metrics and issue management systems
- Able to obtain and hold U.S. TS/SCI security clearance
Responsibilities
- Implement data collection and incident reporting processes to inform design reviews, verification, validation, and qualification
- Drive resolution of development ambiguities affecting product maturity, stability, and field performance
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts for field and reliability issues and verify effectiveness
- Champion transition from NPI to sustainable, predictable product experience for customers
- Own risk elimination activities to improve reliability across the product lifecycle
- Ensure execution and continuous improvement of product and process requirements
- Work cross-functionally to define and execute the product roadmap and quality metrics
- Lead product health data analysis and establish metrics that predict quality performance
- Support Quality Management System (QMS) improvements and required documentation
- Support investigations, initiatives, and cross-team projects as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field (required)
- Master's degree in a technical field (preferred)
