Skills
- Extensive HPC architecture experience (Slurm or similar, Lustre/BeeGFS/GPFS, InfiniBand/ROCE).
- Proven ability to design and operate 1000+ node compute clusters with capacity planning and TCO optimization.
- Hands-on experience implementing VMware Horizon VDI in secure environments with GPU passthrough.
- Deep familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs and DoDAF enterprise architecture.
- Experience with hyperconverged/vSAN architectures and high-speed networking (25/100/200 Gb).
- Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code for secure configuration management.
Responsibilities
- Architect, size, and deploy enterprise-scale HPC clusters and classified computing environments balancing performance, security, and cost.
- Design and implement VMware Horizon VDI solutions with GPU passthrough for secure access across classified domains.
- Lead systems through DoD/IC accreditation processes (RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs) and shepherd ATO activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, finance) to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Manage vendor and third-party integrations ensuring compliance with classified environment requirements.
- Drive secure-by-design decisions and advise on build-vs-buy tradeoffs, training, and documentation for stakeholders.
- Optimize high-performance networking, parallel file systems, and workload managers to meet mission SLAs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant discipline preferred.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance required and maintainable.
