- Strong applied mathematics foundation: probability, optimization, linear algebra, numerical analysis
- Experience with scientific computing and algorithm implementation
- Familiarity with functional and systems programming (C/C++, Python, Julia, Rust, CUDA)
- Knowledge of DSP, image processing, controls, and estimation theory
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and performance quantification
- Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration
Responsibilities
- Drive rapid prototyping of advanced R&D projects focused on radar, video, space-based sensing, and C2 systems
- Design, implement, and validate specialized algorithms using high-fidelity modeling and simulation
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate algorithms into system architectures
- Apply rigorous software QA and testing methodologies to ensure reliability and performance
- Engage stakeholders to align research outcomes with mission objectives and operational constraints
- Mentor and develop junior team members and promote continuous improvement
Education
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied/Computational Mathematics, EE, CS, Controls, Aerospace, Physics, Statistics, or related field
