As a pivotal member of Anchorage Digital's Regulatory Reporting team, you will ensure robust compliance across our global operations. Leveraging your expertise in regulatory engagement, including licensing, submissions, exam and change management, you will also support compliance efforts in other key jurisdictions (Singapore, Bermuda, US, etc.). You will manage all aspects of regulatory reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions across a broad range of regulations including, but not limited to, NYCRR Part 200, 12 CFR Part 223, 12 CFR Part 9, MiCAR, PSN 01/02 and various local licensing requirements.


This role demands a deep understanding of the global regulatory landscape for digital assets and financial services, and the ability to interpret and implement evolving requirements across diverse jurisdictions. You will lead effective exam management, handling regulatory requests and coordinating internal stakeholders. You will manage regulatory calendars, deadlines, and drive process improvements. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for engaging with regulators and internal teams worldwide. Your ability to leverage compliance tools, analyze data, and manage projects will contribute to a proactive and unified compliance framework. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital asset custody within a leading, innovative, and globally expanding organization.


Ideally, you'll also have experience with data analysis and interpretation, technical proficiency in areas like cybersecurity and digital asset custody, and project management skills. A basic legal background in financial services and data privacy is a plus.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential to effectively convey complex regulatory issues to diverse stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Technical skills
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, with substantial and demonstrable expertise in managing Regulatory reporting, Regulation W and fiduciary compliance obligations.
  • Extensive and in-depth understanding of Regulation W, Fiduciary obligations and its practical application in a regulated financial institution.
  • Significant experience in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with fiduciary duties under OCC and DFS regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of US financial regulations, including but not limited to:
  • New York Codes, Rules and Regulations (NYCRR) Part 200 (Virtual Currency Businesses)
  • Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
  • Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) regulations and guidance relevant to digital assets.
  • Regulation W (12 CFR Part 223).
  • Fiduciary obligations under OCC and DFS regulations (e.g., 12 CFR Part 9).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and best practices, particularly in the context of Reg W and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Proficient in using compliance software and tools to support regulatory reporting and exam management activities.

  • Takes ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability for delivering high-quality results, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and regulatory deadlines.
  • Capable of successfully navigating roadblocks and obstacles, escalating when necessary, and proactively identifying solutions.
  • Drives work independently, leads or significantly contributes to medium-to-large projects, and coordinates activities with other team members.


Organizational knowledge
  • Is aware of Anchorage Digital's strategies and objectives and how regulatory reporting and exam management contribute to their successful implementation.
  • Monitors the development of company objectives and industry trends that may affect the company's capacity to succeed.
  • Ensures that knowledge is shared amongst the team.
  • Proactively identifies potential regulatory risks or compliance issues.


Communication and influence
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills, with a strong focus on identifying and mitigating risks related to affiliated transactions and fiduciary duties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory requirements, particularly those related to Regulatory report submissions, Reg W and fiduciary standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy in all compliance-related activities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, managing complex regulatory requirements and deadlines effectively.
  • Crosses team boundaries to solve problems and participate in technical discussions.
  • Effectively communicates complex information to diverse audiences, tailoring the message to their level of understanding.


You may be a fit for this role if you have:
  • Possess deep expertise in the relevant regulatory landscape and can translate complex regulatory mandates into clear internal action plans.
  • Have proven experience managing communications and formal submissions to regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Are skilled in coordinating and facilitating internal and external regulatory examinations and audits, including preparing documentation and briefing senior management and subject matter experts.
  • Excel at building and maintaining constructive, professional relationships with key regulatory contacts and internal stakeholders, acting as the primary liaison during supervisory interactions.
  • Demonstrate a strong background in tracking, analyzing, organizing, and reporting on regulatory trends and developments, proactively advising the business on potential impacts and necessary policy changes.
  • Are adept at managing issue remediation processes identified during examinations or internal reviews, ensuring timely and effective corrective action plans are implemented.


Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
  • Direct experience managing Reg reporting, Reg W and Fiduciary compliance within a banking or trust company regulated by the OCC or a virtual currency business regulated by the DFS.
  • Expertise in change management methodologies within a regulatory environment, specifically in identifying, assessing, and mapping risks and controls against evolving regulations.
  • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
