Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers and returns DispatchCenter calls in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
Ensures correct information is taken from the customers, including address information, pick up times, and any special requirements or details from the customer.
Informs Dispatch Manager of problematic donors.
Helps Dispatch Department meet or exceed on-time pickup goals.
Assists Dispatch Manager in planning and preplanning routes by optimally matching equipment, and accessories and drivers to meet or exceed requirements.
Assists the Dispatch Manager with coordinating all deliveries and pickups including customer donations and Out of the Closet deliveries. Dispatches all deliveries and pickups. Follows through to ensure delivery and/or pickup was completed as directed.
Maintains donation log for each driver. Logs calls relayed to each driver and address of patron.
Contacts drivers of assigned sector by radio or cell phone to relay request for service.
Maintains a strong team relationship with the Dispatch Manager, Group Store Managers, Drivers and Driver’s Assistants to ensure that customer needs are met or exceeded.
Informs the Dispatch Manager of safety issues concerning drivers and driver’s assistants.
Assists Dispatch Supervisor to arrange for truck maintenance and service.
Ensures compliance with all administrative policies and procedures, safety rules and regulations.
Maintains a safe, clean and orderly workplace.
Participation in AHF Meetings/Committees
Attends AHF Dispatch Meeting.
