About the Role
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager oversees daily operations in Accounts Payable (AP) and the General Ledger (GL), supports month-end and year-end close, and drives improvements across the accounting function. This role also assists with special projects, system enhancements, and process efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead daily AP and GL operations; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
· Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of four accountants.
· Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
· Assist with revenue recognition and related adjustments.
· Apply working knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA, and internal policies.
· Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and identify corrective actions.
· Prepare and support internal and external audit requests.
· Improve accounting procedures and workflow efficiency.
· Support special projects, system updates, and process improvements as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications
· BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent experience.
· Deltek Costpoint experience required.
· GovCon (government contractor) accounting experience required.
· Strong working knowledge of AP and GL processes.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
