Quantitative Analyst II

Affirm is a consumer finance company reinventing credit to be honest and transparent. The Quantitative Analyst II will build and enhance pricing, risk, and capital-structure models for Affirm’s consumer loan portfolio, work cross-functionally with Capital Markets, Treasury, Credit, Product and Engineering, and contribute to ABS structuring, forecasting, and data-driven funding decisions.

Skills

  • Proficient Python for model development and analysis
  • Advanced SQL for querying large-scale datasets
  • Experience with Intex and Bloomberg for pricing fixed income and ABS products
  • Fixed income and derivative pricing knowledge
  • Stochastic calculus and quantitative finance techniques
  • Statistical modeling and machine learning for forecasting and risk metrics
  • Financial risk management and capital markets experience
  • Experience structuring ABS transactions and forecasting loan performance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance capital structuring and quantitative finance models for pricing tailored to Affirm’s consumer loan portfolio
  • Build models to track portfolio risk metrics and support risk management and asset utilization strategies
  • Analyze large-scale financial datasets and deliver insights to Capital Markets, Treasury, Product, Credit and Engineering teams
  • Evaluate funding and product decisions through in-depth quantitative analysis and forecasting
  • Structure ABS transactions and forecast consumer loan performance using statistical and mathematical techniques and industry tools

Education

  • Master's degree in Mathematical Finance, Mathematics or related field (or foreign equivalent)
  • Relevant coursework or training in fixed income, derivatives, stochastic calculus and statistics
