AES Clean Energy (AES CE) is seeking a motivated Knowledge and Document Specialist to join our Business Transformation department, supporting our knowledge and document managers. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about writing, editing, design, and technology, and who want to grow their skills in knowledge management and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new SharePoint pages and documentation for our business transformation program.
  • Assist in designing and developing SharePoint pages and templates for our Renewables Hub site.
  • Design site images and graphics following AES brand standards.
  • Support page owners with questions related to page maintenance and page updates.
  • Support intake calls related to new or existing SharePoint pages and documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Help create reference materials for varying SharePoint and document topics.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to support editing technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Help run document review calls with subject matter experts to work through documentation questions and concerns.
  • Support document template development.
  • Support internal stakeholders with SharePoint library requests, including setup and maintenance.
  • Support internal customers with the document publishing process in a SharePoint environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and work with various types of documentation and files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SharePoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment both in-person and virtually.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $66,000 and $79,900/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
