AECOM is seeking a Sr. Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to be based in Los Angeles, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Approves and signs off on work.
Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Participates in development of technical proposals.
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California.
Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in Southern California (must include some Caltrans project experience).
Experience preparing technical specifications in Greenbook and/or Caltrans format.
Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad and Civil 3D.
Desire to develop Marketing skills.
Able to assist in proposals and presentations.
Participate in professional organizations representing the company.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
