Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Design Intern based in Chicago, IL.

 The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Performs entry-level work. 
  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff. 
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Work collaboratively within a project-based team while maintaining individual accountability.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architecture and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • With a background in design and architecture, with experience spanning interior design, project management, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to support the development of high-quality graphics, drawings, diagrams, and other materials in support of the design development process.
  • Prior internship experience, with general knowledge of architectural drawings.
