As a Family Advocate, you’ll build trusting relationships with families, connect them with resources, and support their child’s success in school and in life.

What You’ll Do

As a Family Advocate, you will:

  • Partner with families to set and achieve goals that support their child’s education, health, and well-being.
  • Connect families with community resources such as healthcare, employment, housing, and social services.
  • Conduct family assessments, develop family partnership agreements, and track progress toward goals.
  • Support families in navigating transitions, including preparing children for kindergarten.
  • Facilitate parent meetings, workshops, and events that strengthen family engagement.
  • Advocate for families and their needs, ensuring their voices are included in program planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teachers, center staff, and community partners to provide holistic support for children and families.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about building strong family partnerships and helping families succeed.
  • Compassionate, resourceful, and an excellent listener.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable connecting with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Pass a physical exam and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required.
  • Experience in family advocacy, case management, or community outreach preferred.
