This role leads the development and implementation of advanced technical capabilities to optimize manufacturing processes across AbbVie's global sites. The successful candidate will leverage AI/ML techniques and comprehensive manufacturing process knowledge to enhance the value of AbbVie's data assets. By delivering cutting-edge analytics solutions that integrate technology, data, and insights into decision-making, this role drives tangible and measurable business results through innovation and transformation. 

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a significant portion of program execution by providing clear technical direction and leadership to development teams. Mentor team members and foster a culture of growth, while tracking progress to ensure timely and high-quality delivery aligned with strategic goals. 

• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions. Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AI/ML techniques and manufacturing processes to design and implement advanced capabilities that address technical challenges and optimize operations, ensuring consistency, reliability, and scalability. 

• Collaborate across functions with business and technical stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities and integrate analytics into core processes, enhancing both operational efficiency and strategic insights. Actively contribute to strategic planning discussions by providing technical perspectives that align with organizational goals. 

• Lead technical reviews and establish standards and best practices across projects. Champion initiatives to explore innovative solutions and enhance existing methodologies, ensuring our technical capabilities remain at the forefront of innovation and strategically aligned. 

• Communicate complex technical concepts and project updates clearly and effectively to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project life cycle, while influencing decision-making with well-rounded technical and business insights. 

• Connect project execution and technology delivery methodologies to a clear value capture plan and demonstrate proficiency in communicating value stories both internally and externally. 

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience.

•  Background in life sciences or work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. 

• Demonstrated ability to learn, understand and master new technologies. 

• Extensive experience in AI/ML solution development and deployment within manufacturing or engineering sectors. 

• Strong technical proficiency in data analytics and the design of innovative solutions. 

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects effectively. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. 

• Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively
