Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and related Data+AI stack (Mosaic AI Gateway familiarity)
- Experience designing and deploying LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, embeddings, and fine-tuning
- Background in building scalable distributed data/compute systems and MPP frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud architecture, APIs/MCP, observability, and ML monitoring
- Solid software engineering skills: testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and production deployment
- Ability to lead technical teams and communicate effectively with engineering and product stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy production GenAI/ML systems (agents, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning) that integrate into company products
- Design and implement ML pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, training, tuning, evaluation, and monitoring
- Develop scalable backend services, telemetry, logging and evaluation harnesses for AI-driven features
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across distributed engineering teams; influence architecture decisions
- Collaborate with data engineers, platform, product, and DevOps to operationalize models and ensure reliability and security
- Drive projects that improve development productivity, benchmarking, and AI/data engineering innovation
- Participate in incident, configuration, and escalation management for AI systems and data services
- Champion secure handling of confidential healthcare data and adherence to company policies
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in ML/AI or related field preferred but not required
