Data Engineer
Skills
- 2+ years experience in data engineering, software development, or related technical roles
- Working knowledge of Python with ability to write clean, maintainable code
- Basic understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Python in AWS environments
- Write and deploy AWS Lambda functions for data processing tasks
- Design and implement data integration solutions from various source systems
- Collaborate with team members using Git for version control and participate in code reviews
- Write efficient SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and validation
- Document technical processes, data flows, and system configurations
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and implement validation checks
- Support monitoring and maintenance of production data pipelines
- Continuously learn new technologies and AWS services
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred)
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (or higher) required within 30 days of hire
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or higher) required within 30 days of hire
