Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle to use for work purposes and auto insurance. Community Based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage
Requirements
Experience as a primary caregiver of a youth with special needs, and preferably a youth with mental health needs; AND
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university and one (1) year of experience working with the target population; ORAssociate’s degree in a human service field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth; ORHigh school diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a primary caregiver with children/adolescents/transition age youthExperience in navigating any of the child and family serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family serving systemsAn understanding of, and experience with different child-serving systems, including schools, mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, health and othersPossess a current, valid driver’s license and automobile with proof of auto insurance Participate in, and successfully complete, all required trainingWillingness to complete the HFW Coaching and Training credentialingA knowledge of community resources; preferably experience with local resources
