Job Description
Job Profile Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with processing student accommodation requests and other support needs within the Office of Accessibility Services. This position communicates with students and mentors by phone, chat, and email, while maintaining confidentiality of records and information.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Answer calls and chat requests inbound to accessibility services.
· Process incoming referrals and cases
· Schedule appointments between specialists and students
· Log and check incoming mail and voice mail.
· Achieve quality assurance standards for accuracy and customer service.
· Assist in the research of assistive technologies and resources.
· Serve as a member of the ADA Committee.
· Inform students and staff of university programs and policies.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
· One to two years of administrative support or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associates Degree
· Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities.
· Experience in a higher education institution clerical role.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
