Freelance Producer/Editor
Weedmaps is building a roster of freelance Producer/Editors to partner with its in-house creative studio on branded content, campaigns, and social-first storytelling. This project-based role seeks versatile creatives who can manage production logistics, capture content, and craft editorial narratives across digital platforms while working independently and collaboratively with the internal team.
Skills
- Strong production and editorial skills across shooting and editing
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
- Experience creating content for brands, agencies, or media companies
- Ability to manage projects and meet tight deadlines independently
- Camera operation, lighting, and on-set crew coordination
- Storytelling and pacing for social-first formats
- Portfolio/reel demonstrating production + editing work
- Familiarity with motion graphics and color grading
Responsibilities
- Produce, shoot and edit content for digital and social platforms from concept through final delivery
- Manage projects across pre-production, on-set logistics, and post-production
- Collaborate with in-house creative team to ensure on-brand output and creative alignment
- Adapt edits and production style to varied formats, platforms, and timelines
- Deliver high-quality reels/assets and incorporate motion/graphics when required
- Capture authentic local culture and regional stories when applicable
Education
- No formal degree required — demonstrated portfolio/reel and experience preferred
- Relevant coursework or certifications in film, video production, or editing are a plus
