Job Description

As a Senior Consultant in Wavestone's Business Consulting practice, you will serve as a trusted business advisor to our clients while leading a variety of business-related engagements. You will have the opportunity to be a hands-on leader, gathering and analyzing data, exploring innovative solutions, making actionable recommendations, and communicating with key stakeholders. Your enthusiasm, creativity in finding solutions, and self-motivation will help our clients achieve their human capital goals.

In this role, you will lead and manage client engagements that may include content creation, digital marketing, brand marketing/strategy, consumer centered design, marketing analytics and performance measurement, social media strategy and content marketing and storytelling. This role provides an opportunity to broaden your leadership skills, work across a variety of industries, and the opportunity to exercise your entrepreneurial spirit to deliver superior results for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of marketing and innovation projects in areas that may include brand/digital marketing, brand strategy, new product development/launch, omni channel marketing and market research.
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing plans that align with business goals, enhance brand visibility, and generate demand across key channels and audiences.
  • Lead, facilitate, and participate in client project meetings while providing a unique point of view from perspective of marketing and innovation.
  • Participate in proposal development and delivery to client organizations.
  • Apply expertise by monitoring and identifying project issues, mitigating risk, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of work.
  • Confidently manage project teams, deliver structure where there is ambiguity, resolve stakeholder resistance and risks, and implement the desired outcomes.
  • Work closely with diverse teams to deliver results and foster an environment to recognize and reward individual and team achievements.
  • Present findings both internally at Wavestone and externally to clients, including data acquisition and insights.
  • Collaborate with an internal network of skilled consultants to solve client problems and deliver high impact projects.
  • Continually evolve and build a knowledge base within the areas of brand and digital marketing.
  • Cultivate and maintain long term relationships with clients to identify collaborative efforts and develop new business engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a variety of disciplines to include Business, Marketing, Technology, Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience  

  • 3 or more years’ marketing / content creation experience required. 
  • Proven experience in traditional brand marketing, brand strategy, and digital marketing with a strong ability to integrate both disciplines to drive cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Project management experience leading projects and managing project teams.
  • Well-developed financial and business acumen from working in a variety of business functions including supply chain, finance, operations, HR, marketing, and sales.  
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies. Expertise in multiple project management tools.  
  • Passion for identifying problems and the desire to collaborate with clients in designing and implementing simple solutions in complex and unclear situations.  
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional project teams. 
  • Demonstrated strategic big picture thinking paired with the ability to pivot and deep dive into the details as required.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products including the ability to develop compelling communication of complex concepts using PowerPoint.
  • Confidence and presence to engage directly with clients at the senior leadership level.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills including the ability to communicate concisely and clearly with both line and senior management level clients.
  • Ability to travel based on client requirements.  

Preferred Experience 

  • Prior experience consulting or managing projects in pharmaceuticals, consumer products, healthcare, medical marketing industries or related business. 
  • Prior experience in a big four consulting environment.
