Responsibilities
- Triage, stabilize, and provide emergency and critical care to canine and feline patients
- Perform emergency soft-tissue surgeries and other urgent procedures
- Interpret diagnostics including radiographs, ultrasound, and in-house labs to guide treatment
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and referring veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff in a team-oriented environment
- Work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Participate in hospital safety, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Education
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Active state veterinary license in Florida or ability to obtain licensure
- Commitment to ongoing continuing education
