Senior Embedded Engineer - Connectivity
Skills
- Proficient in C, C++ and/or Go for embedded development
- Experience with low-level interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART
- Familiarity with RTOS (FreeRTOS) and Embedded Linux
- Experience with networking and wireless communication protocols
- Comfortable with test-driven development and data-driven engineering
- Strong debugging and systems-level problem solving
- Scripting experience in Python or Go for tooling and automation
- Ability to read basic schematics and collaborate with hardware engineers
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain firmware for shipped connectivity devices
- Own the full engineering cycle: scoping, architecture, low-level design, implementation, testing and launch
- Apply test-driven and data-driven development practices to ensure reliability and performance
- Debug complex embedded systems and diagnose hardware/software interactions
- Collaborate with product, hardware, and backend teams to deliver customer-facing features
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to team technical decisions
- Optionally contribute to backend services or other parts of the stack as needed
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field, or equivalent experience
