Overnight Veterinary Technician

VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Veterinary Technician to join the team at our AAHA accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA.

Compensation: $ 28.00 - $ 32.00 / hr. $3.00 Shift differential. Compensation negotiable dependent on education, experience, and credentials.

Schedule: 10:30p - 9am. 4/10's. Monday-Thursdays or Thursdays - Sunday. No intakes from 12a-7a.

· Physical examinations and patient assessment

· Anesthesia monitoring

· Surgical preparation and assisting

· Laboratory work

· Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy

· Catheter placement

· Pharmacy

· Patient recovery

· Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals

· All aspects of patient care

· Animal handling and restraint

· IM, IV,SQ injections

· Digital radiography

· Nursing care/hospitalization treatments

· Client communication
