Responsibilities
- Own design of primary and secondary structures for a large-scale space station
- Develop and apply understanding of static/dynamic loads, vibrations, thermal and environmental factors to inform designs
- Perform mechanical design and structural analysis; create manufacturing drawings and test plans
- Lead trade studies and manage interfaces with subsystems
- Collaborate with fabricators and technicians to refine designs, develop manufacturing processes, and resolve build issues
- Follow hardware through the full lifecycle from concept, analysis, manufacturing, test, to delivery
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
