Skills
- GD&T knowledge and application
- Experience with metrology tools and portable measuring devices
- Electronic testing and inspection using portable testers
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5 or equivalent)
- Proficiency with ERP/inventory management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Verify incoming materials against paperwork for correct part numbers, quantities, revisions and check for damage
- Use standard gauges and metrology tools to inspect feature tolerances and ensure conformance
- Organize and improve controlled inventory storage systems and material flow
- Perform detailed in-process inspections using drawings and CAD models to verify design conformance
- Document and communicate non-conformances and help drive resolution with stakeholders
- Coordinate non-flight inventory transfers and acknowledge receipt of incoming materials
- Record receipts in ERP and transfer inspected items to inventory
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or engineering degree preferred
- CQI or other quality certifications are a plus
