Skills
- Proficiency in TypeScript across frontend and backend
- Experience with modern JS frameworks and build tools (React, Vite, etc.)
- Backend experience with Node.js and server frameworks (Fastify/Express)
- Experience with Postgres and designing data models
- Automated testing and CI/CD best practices
- Familiarity with healthcare standards (FHIR) and security/compliance awareness
- Strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend features across the Vanna Connect product
- Write clean, well-tested TypeScript code and maintain high standards for code quality and developer experience
- Collaborate with product, design, clinical, and care teams to translate needs into reliable software
- Work with Postgres and server frameworks (Node/Fastify) to build secure, scalable APIs and data models
- Implement and maintain integrations following FHIR and other healthcare data standards where applicable
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentor fellow engineers
- Deploy, monitor, and iterate on production services with an emphasis on security and compliance
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated continuous learning in software engineering and best practices
