Physical Therapist

Vail Health is a leading mountain healthcare system providing advanced care across a modern hospital campus. They are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and deliver rehabilitative services to patients across the lifespan, document progress, collaborate with the care team, and support clinical education and business goals of the organization.

Skills

  • Skilled patient evaluation and treatment planning
  • Ability to perform a range of PT techniques and procedures
  • Accurate clinical documentation and daily billing submission
  • Strong interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills
  • Competence with electronic health records and basic computer tasks
  • BLS certification and HIPAA compliance

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients using appropriate tests and measurements to determine PT problems, function level, and treatment/discharge plans
  • Develop and implement individualized PT interventions based on evaluation, physician orders, and patient goals
  • Perform appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures safely and competently
  • Document findings, patient progress, and procedures within established time frames; submit patient billing daily
  • Communicate and coordinate with other health care professionals to ensure continuity of care
  • Recommend and assist with acquisition of patient care equipment prior to discharge
  • Instruct patients and family members in home programs and self-management
  • Participate in PT/PTA student training and clinical education as assigned
  • Promote Vail Health services to meet organizational and clinic business needs
  • Adhere to HIPAA and role model organizational values and a Just Culture

Education

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree required for licensure
  • Alternate degree that meets state licensure requirements acceptable
