Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients using appropriate tests and measurements to determine PT problems, function level, and treatment/discharge plans
- Develop and implement individualized PT interventions based on evaluation, physician orders, and patient goals
- Perform appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures safely and competently
- Document findings, patient progress, and procedures within established time frames; submit patient billing daily
- Communicate and coordinate with other health care professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Recommend and assist with acquisition of patient care equipment prior to discharge
- Instruct patients and family members in home programs and self-management
- Participate in PT/PTA student training and clinical education as assigned
- Promote Vail Health services to meet organizational and clinic business needs
- Adhere to HIPAA and role model organizational values and a Just Culture
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree required for licensure
- Alternate degree that meets state licensure requirements acceptable
