About Seton College:
Seton College is a new two-year college division of UMSV that will offer an associate’s degree for 100 students that have been historically underserved, who may require additional academic support, and who are motivated for post-secondary success annually beginning in the 2024–25 academic year. The program’s goal is to prepare students to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program or to begin their professional careers. Course Description: Service Learning and Society: Poverty, Hunger, and Homelessness introduces students to the University of Mount Saint Vincent community while engaging them in meaningful service opportunities across the Bronx and Greater New York City. The course examines poverty, homelessness, hunger, and inequality through classroom discussions, reflective activities, and hands-on community-based service experiences that connect theory to practice.
