Endurance is developing modular seafloor geothermal power plants that harness the vast thermal energy beneath the ocean floor to provide gigawatts of clean, reliable energy. We're addressing the critical power bottleneck facing AI infrastructure development while creating a path toward energy independence and decarbonization across the globe.
Backed by premier venture capital firms including First Round Capital and Point72 Ventures, our exceptional founding team includes veterans from SpaceX (Dragon and Starship programs) and Neuralink, with specialized expertise in complex thermal and fluid systems.
We're seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Seattle, where you'll help design and develop critical power systems for our revolutionary seafloor generators.
As a Senior Electronics Engineer at Endurance, you'll be a key early member of our team, helping establish the core electrical architecture that will power our cutting-edge technology. You'll select, adapt, and implement commercial solutions for power conditioning, instrumentation, control, and communications that can operate reliably in one of Earth's most extreme environments. This role focuses primarily on systems engineering and the integration of proven components into robust, field-ready systems, but also requires the flexibility and entrepreneurial mindset essential to an early-stage startup. You'll work across multiple domains and help shape the foundation of our electrical systems as we grow.
Your first project will be developing the electrical system for our 100kW "Adelie" Class pilot unit. It is a self-contained power generation system that converts hydrothermal fluid into electricity to validate our core technology. You'll lead the design of a robust control system that manages the supercritical CO₂ power cycle under variable hydrothermal conditions, ensuring safe operation from startup through steady-state generation to shutdown. Additionally, you'll develop the data acquisition and transmission system that allows us to monitor the unit during its deployment. This system will collect comprehensive performance data and reliably transmit it to our surface buoy.
