  • Manage procurement processes and support contract negotiations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support sustainability goals including carbon neutrality, waste reduction, and green building certifications.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Track and report on KPIs, milestones, and deliverables to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing process enhancements.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, or manufacturing construction projects.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-phase construction efforts with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and contract management.
  • Experience with sustainability-focused projects and familiarity with LEED or similar certifications is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in the South Richmond, Virginia area, and maintain a consistent presence to support client and project needs.
