You will leverage cutting-edge technology, including aerial and underwater surveying, digital photogrammetry, BIM/Revit integration, and mobile LiDAR, to support environmental impact assessments, coastal and marine mapping, infrastructure development, and regulatory compliance projects.

What you’ll get to do:
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for True Environmental’s geomatics, bathymetric, and hydrographic surveying services.
  • Lead and mentor a team of GIS specialists, surveyors, and remote sensing experts in executing complex geospatial projects.
  • Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of geospatial data using:
  • Single-beam, multibeam, and side-scan sonar for hydrographic and bathymetric mapping.
  • Aerial and mobile LiDAR, point clouds, and photogrammetry for environmental and infrastructure applications.
  • Revit/BIM workflows to integrate geospatial data with engineering and architectural models.
  • Pix4D, Recap, and other digital photogrammetry tools to generate high-resolution terrain models.
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of spatial data management, point cloud processing, and 3D visualization.
  • Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, and project managers to integrate geomatics, hydrographic data, and remote sensing into environmental assessments and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in GIS, UAV, remote sensing, and hydrographic surveying to enhance service offerings.
  • Develop proposals, manage budgets, and foster strong client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for land surveying, hydrography, and environmental mapping.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Hydrography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in geomatics, hydrographic surveying, GIS, or remote sensing.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and projects.
  • Expertise in hydrographic surveying techniques (e.g., single-beam and multibeam sonar, side-scan sonar, and bathymetric LiDAR).
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS), photogrammetry (Pix4D, Recap), and point cloud processing.
  • Strong background in mobile and aerial LiDAR, digital twin modeling, and 3D mapping technologies.
  • Experience with BIM/Revit workflows for geospatial data integration.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Geomatics, Hydrography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications: PLS (Professional Land Surveyor), GISP (GIS Professional), Certified Hydrographer, or similar.
  • Experience working on environmental, coastal, marine, and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in data visualization, predictive modeling, and AI applications in geomatics.
