Who we’re looking for
Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Senior Manager - Product Cybersecurity.
The primary responsibility of this role is to utilize engineering expertise to lead the team to design, develop, and deliver security features of products including systems, application and/or solutions, in accordance with appropriate processes, meeting Toyota’s goals for the product.
Reporting to the Product Cybersecurity Engineering General Manager, the person in this role will join the Product Cybersecurity Group to deploy security solutions for applications in a more connected vehicle environment
What you’ll be doing
People leader responsible for multiple major functions, including a team of 9+ cybersecurity software development engineers
Guides to make results-oriented plans for complex that require executive engagement and/or alignment across various orgs or companies, SME analysis, or direct hands-on technical contribution
Senior advisor to management/executives with in-depth technical expertise
Leverage advanced vehicle engineering techniques to gather, connect, and analyze diverse data sources, connected technologies producing valuable insights and compelling end to end solutions that inform strategic decision-making
Collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams to shape and implement robust security solutions across in-car systems, out-of-car platforms, accessories and third-party integrations
Lead the adoption of cybersecurity development best practices, ensuring consistent, compliant, and cohesive guidance is applied across all projects
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Strong experience in embedded technology product development
Strong cybersecurity/information security engineering experience
Proven experience and deep knowledge of hardware like Trust Zone and associated software implementation
Skills/hands on technical proficiency in multiple cybersecurity-relevant technology disciplines (e.g. in-car networking, cryptography, CPU architectures, operating system internals, application security, digital forensics, incident response, environment hardening, architecture, embedded integration, wireless technologies etc.) DevOps practices, and large-scale enterprise systems
Masterful written and communication skills with experience in executive engagement
Hardware: CPU architecture, Hardware Security Module / Trusted Platform Module (HSM/TPM), wireless technologies: cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (BT)
OS: Macro and monolith kernels like QNX, AGL, Android
Security Frameworks & Tools: encryption standards, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab
Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Added bonus if you have
Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or certifications in cybersecurity
Experience with embedded AI/ML, including Generative AI and common GAI platforms
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI
Programming Languages: C, Java, Python, C#, Go, PowerShell, JavaScript/NodeJS, Bash, SQL
