Lead Data Analyst

The Knot Worldwide is a global leader in celebration and vendor marketplace products; we’re hiring a Lead Data Analyst to drive analytics across Sales and Operations (Revenue). This senior individual contributor will define and govern metrics, build scalable dashboards, lead deep-dive performance investigations, and partner closely with sales, ops, product, finance and data teams to deliver trusted KPIs and actionable insights for US and international brands.

Skills

  • Advanced SQL and experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker, Preset/Superset, Metabase, or Tableau.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining a metrics/semantic layer (dbt metrics, LookML, Cube).
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and data storytelling skills for executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and maintain centralized metric definitions and governance within a semantic layer (e.g., Cube/dbt metrics/LookML).
  • Build and maintain high-quality dashboards and reports for business teams and executives using modern BI tools.
  • Lead deep-dive analyses into revenue, churn, and vendor performance to identify root causes and recommend actions.
  • Act as primary analytics partner for vendor sales partners across US and international brands, answering high-priority questions with data-backed recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science to validate data pipelines, QA changes, and ensure analytics alignment.
  • Promote best practices for metric design, reporting, and data quality across cross-functional teams.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred but not required.
