Company Description

Compensation & Incentives:

  • Base Pay: $31.86 – $46.28/hr (based on experience)

    • ~5 years: $36.12/hr

    • ~10 years: $40.44/hr

    • ~17+ years: $46.28/hr

  • Shift Differentials: Nights +$4.50/hr | Weekends +$1.50/hr

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Day Shift) | $20,000 (Night Shift) – available through Q3

  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled ICU Stepdown RN to join our 15-bed intermediate care unit. This true stepdown/PCU environment provides a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio (occasionally 4:1) and cares for patients requiring advanced interventions such as cardiac drips, long-term ventilators, and frequent monitoring.

Shifts Available: Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform frequent assessments and provide close monitoring of stepdown-level patients.

  • Manage cardiac drips, long-term ventilators, and advanced therapies.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective care.

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and follow-up care.

  • Promote patient safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence within the unit.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Florida or Compact state (required).

  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU Stepdown experience (required).

  • Will consider RNs with 3+ years of Cardiac or Multisystem PCU experience.

  • ADN or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.

  • Certifications:

    • NIH Stroke Scale – within 30 days.

    • BLS – within 30 days.

    • ACLS – within 6 months.
